SilverStar Play Forever Fund

Family Day Fundraiser – lifesaving in the backcountry

This Family Day head up to SilverStar Mountain and the purchase of your lift ticket will support Search & Rescue lifesaving efforts in the backcountry.

Air Rescue One Heli Winch Society is the primary Search and Rescue, air rescue team in the Thompson Okanagan. Their AR1 program provides critical rescue response to the most seriously injured, lost, and sick people of the Thompson Okanagan. These rescues are delivered at NO COST to the patient, helping you in your time of need.

SilverStar is donating $20 from every adult lift ticket purchased online or in resort for Family Day Monday, February 21, 2022, towards the Air Rescue One Heli Winch Society to help raise funds for a new detachable winch, a critical piece of equipment for saving lives in the backcountry. Learn more here.

SilverStar Play Forever Fund will be matching community donations, including the $20.00 from every lift ticket up to $10,000.00.

On February 21, 2022, come and visit the Air Rescue One team, in the SilverStar Village to learn about what they do, why this detachable winch is so vital, and more about what you can do to support this initiative.
