Aubrey Reed Memorial Fund
Aubrey Reed’s family and friends have started an endowment fund as a way to pay tribute to Aubrey’s generous nature and honour his gratitude for the Okanagan lifestyle.
Scroll down for the donation form.
Aubrey was born in Summerland, and lived most of his life in the Okanagan Valley. In 1953, Aubrey graduated with a Masters Degree in Social Work, and went on to lead a rewarding and meaningful career with the Province of BC until he retired as the Regional Director of Social Services, in 1987. Throughout his career and into his retirement years, Aubrey continued to serve the community through his church and on various boards.
Friends and family fondly remember Aubrey’s devotion to his magnificent vegetable garden and the joy it brought to him and those around him. Aubrey is dearly missed by his wife Bev of 69 years. Bev and Aubrey built a beautiful family home overlooking Kalamalka Lake where they raised their family and lived for 60 years.
Throughout Aubrey’s lifetime, he and his family generously contributed to various local charitable organizations. The Aubrey and Beverley Reed Endowment Fund will continue Aubrey’s legacy of giving, now and for generations to come.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to consider making a tax receiptable donation in memory of Aubrey Reed.
