Since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared, community-based charities and non-profit organizations have been working tirelessly to provide emergency support to individuals and communities experiencing heightened vulnerability. In response, a source of rapid funding was made available to support organizations working with vulnerable populations impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.
The Community Foundation of the North Okanagan was grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Emergency Community Support Fund, in partnership with Community Foundations of Canada, United Way, the Canadian Red Cross, and the Government of Canada.
These projects are providing essential services and supporting people who are experiencing heightened vulnerability.
